The UC Martial Arts Program is pleased to present the Fifth Annual Yongmudo Championship in conjunction with the 41st UC Open. Held in the Haas Pavilion, the competition is open to practitioners of many different martial arts that combine strikes with throws and grappling.
Clubs affiliated with U.C. Berkeley have been participating in tournaments using the Yongmudo rules since the 1970s with the idea of giving participants a safe and friendly way to participate in an all-around martial arts tournament. This tournament will feature:
- Technique-based scoring
- Limited contact (Absolutely no head contact)
- Separate groundwork and sparring competitions
- A creative forms competition

Registration Packet - Registration accepted in person MWF 6-7:30pm and Sunday from 3-5pm in 145 RSF. Payment may be made at the time with cash or check or the day of the tournament.
