Free Sparring Requirements: Must be at least 6 years of age AND green belt (6th Gup) or above. There is no minimum age or rank for poomse.

Please note that for the 41st UC Open, the new USAT/WTF rules will be implemented, including:

• 8 m (26.25 ft) x 8 m (26.25 ft) ring size
• Scoring rules for senior BLACK divisions:
  • 1 point for body kick
  • 2 points for turning kick
  • 3 points for head kick

The following exceptions to the USAT rules will be implemented in the interest of safety and time:

• 10-point gap, 15 point ceiling
• ALL junior divisions (except for 14-17 Black belts): head kicks are strictly prohibited
• 14-17 Black belts: head kicks must be light contact
